What Happened
A neighbor's tree damaged Ms. Merle King's home at 121 North 11th Street, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034 after a wind and lightning storm in 2024.
The first tree company showed up twice unprepared. Their outsourced crane operator refused to work with them.
P1Mitigators arrived the same day. We got the neighbor to sign an Insurance Procedures Billing Contract (the neighbor paid in full for their portion).
Approximately 40% of the tree was on King's roof. We got Ms. King to sign the same contract and verified her insurance with the desk adjuster.
We removed the tree and put 3 temporary patches over the holes in her roof during active lightning and heavy storm conditions — dangerous work performed to protect the home from further damage.
Ms. Merle King has never made a single payment. Not one dollar received for emergency tree removal or roof repairs.
A home lien has been filed and the case has been turned over to a law firm specializing in construction liens.
