How does the insurance claim process work?

After storm damage, we assess the damage, write a detailed Xactimate estimate, submit documentation to your carrier, meet the field adjuster on-site, handle any supplement negotiations, coordinate the repair/replacement, and help you recover your Recoverable Depreciation. It's typically a 5–9 phase process depending on claim complexity.

What is Recoverable Depreciation?

Insurance carriers initially pay the Actual Cash Value (ACV) — the replacement cost minus depreciation. The withheld amount is called Recoverable Depreciation (RD). After the work is completed and documented, you submit proof of completion to the carrier, and they release the RD payment. P1Mitigators provides all documentation needed for RD recovery.
