Land Clearing in Riverside & Avondale

Historic neighborhoods — selective clearing that preserves the signature oak canopy.

Riverside and Avondale's signature live oaks, many over 100 years old, are the defining landscape feature. Clearing in these neighborhoods is almost always selective — removing invasive species (camphor trees, Brazilian pepper, air potato vine), dead trees, and overgrown underbrush while preserving every healthy oak.

The overlay district zoning may affect clearing activities on some properties. We verify the parcel's overlay status and coordinate with COJ forestry if protected trees are involved. Equipment access in these older neighborhoods often requires street parking and hand-carrying debris to the truck — plan accordingly.

Permitting

COJ permits. Protected tree ordinance strictly enforced — century-old oaks are community landmarks. Overlay district requirements may apply.

Local Conditions

Century-old live oaks — preservation is paramount. Invasive species removal is the primary clearing demand. Tight access in older neighborhoods.
