The Contractor Adjuster
For CONTRACTORS!Chasing the Insurance Carrier for the Correct Payout — On Time.
You do the work.
We chase the insurance money you earned.
Prepared, packaged, documented and billed directly to the carrier.
Who we are
The Contractor Adjuster.
We work for contractors.
We help you prepare, package, photograph, video-document and bill insurance proceeds directly to the carrier.
We keep the home or business owner updated — and in line with the string of insurance payments.
We are NOT a General Contractor.
(We don’t do your trade work. We coordinate, estimate, document and chase the payout.)
What you get
Built for contractors who are tired of waiting on carriers.
Get paid accurately.
Line-item scopes that match what the carrier should be paying.
Get paid sooner.
Clean packages go in right the first time — fewer delays, fewer “we need more info.”
Multiple trades, one point of contact.
Streamlined under one trades manager / broker.
Trade estimates — fast.
Created quickly, often before the adjuster even gets on scene.
How it works
P1Mitigators™ can jump in at ANY step.
At the Doorstep
Have a homeowner questioning the Insurance Proceeds Process?
Your Crew Lead or Sales Person needs help?
On the Job
Need someone there to document the damages?
The work removing them, the estimating and the recovery work?
In the Office
Need someone to take your existing files — phone pics, Google Drive, Acculynx, JobNimbus, Jobber, etc.?
We format them into 1 single estimate for the carrier.
Adjuster Meeting
Have an adjuster meeting you can’t get to?
Or don’t know what to do or how to handle it?
Protect the Deal
Want One-More-Step between you as a Contractor and a Public Adjuster or Law Firm?
(Where you could lose the entire deal.)
Not sure where you are in the process?
Doesn’t matter.
We pick it up from wherever it is.
(904) 891-8435Where we fit
Public Adjusters. Carriers. Attorneys.
Public Adjusters
We are your best advocate.
Our docs, reporting and estimating match what PAs do — so your file is ready to work.
Insurance Carriers
We are your first reality check.
We push back on:
- “We only pay for xyz.”
- “We don’t cover that.”
- Gross underpayments with no justification.
- Other bad-faith adjusting tactics.
Most homeowners don’t have the time, money or skills to challenge the “800lb gorilla.”
We do.
Attorneys & Law Firms
We hand you what you need.
We can revisit claim sites for discovery, inspect for missed or new damage, and supplement the documentation.
That helps you re-open a closed claim, challenge an underpayment, and more.
Paperwork
We help you get the paperwork right.
We explain how to get the right paperwork signed by the home or business owner.
(at the doorstep by our local rep, over the phone by an in-office manager, by infographic on our site, by email — and even snail-mail for those that really need it)
We help create the paperwork needed for your city, county and state.
(from generic, to legally binding)
We get your paperwork reviewed and approved by local attorneys.
(from N.T.O.’s, to Liens and Collections)
XACT-style scopes. Real supporting documentation.
Actual estimate excerpts from LAND Roofing and 904Tree show how trade pricing can be packaged for the carrier.
Homeowner and claim identifiers have been removed.

LAND Roofing: tree, debris & emergency protection
Separate line items document hazardous tree work, debris hauling and temporary roof protection, with quantities and cost breakdowns.

904Tree: tree removal estimate
Itemized labor, equipment and disposal lines show the carrier exactly what the tree removal costs and why.
Your pricing, backed by a clear scope
We help package your pricing minimums, measured quantities, Xactimate comparisons and supporting invoices so the carrier can review the work and its cost.
These are estimate examples—not proof of carrier approval or a guaranteed payout.
The paperwork beyond the estimate
Signed authorizations, change approvals, completion photos, payment records and lien releases help keep the job organized from start to finish.
When needed, notices and lien filings are coordinated through qualified third-party providers; legal advice stays with an attorney.
How we’re paid
A percentage — paid by contractors only.
From a flat fee, to a % of the claim, or a % of new funds received.
Paid legally by contractors only.
We can never be paid by law firms or Public Adjusters — for any reason or amount.
Our 10% Trades Contract
Simple. In writing. On your side.
10% of gross insurance proceeds.
(ACV, Recoverable Depreciation, supplements and O&P — due within 5 business days of each draw.)
Same % of collected homeowner cancellation fees.
(Only when a cancellation fee is actually collected.)
You keep the RCV minus our 10%.
(Plus the extra 10% Overhead + 10% Profit when the claim qualifies.)
We may LOWER our % when the carrier won’t budge.
(So the job still makes sense for you.)
No offer is accepted without YOUR approval.
(Every trade signs off on its own number.)
No obligation to do work that isn’t profitable.
(If the numbers don’t work, you can walk.)
We chase the Recoverable Depreciation (RD) for you.
(The held-back money the carrier releases after the work is done.)
Notices to Owner and liens started — FREE of charge.
(We educate the homeowner and help collect what you’re owed.)
Signed Lien Release before the final payout.
(Keeps every party protected.)
Non-circumvention protects both sides.
(Neither party goes around the other on a job we bring together.)
Read and sign it right from your phone — we text or email you a short link.
Staying legal — UPPA
What a Contractor / Estimator CAN Legally Do vs. Cannot Do.
Permissible (100% Legal)
Impermissible (UPPA / Policy Violation)
✅ Permissible (100% Legal)
Discuss Scope of Damage: Meeting the adjuster on-site to point out damaged shingles, broken trusses, or water-damaged drywall.
⛔ Impermissible (UPPA / Policy Violation)
Interpret Policy Language: Arguing with the adjuster about whether a specific policy clause covers “matching” or cosmetic damage.
✅ Permissible (100% Legal)
Discuss Cost & Quantity: Arguing that the roof requires 40 squares instead of 30, or that local material costs require a higher price per square.
⛔ Impermissible (UPPA / Policy Violation)
Negotiate Claims Settlements: Negotiating a final financial settlement amount on behalf of the homeowner.
✅ Permissible (100% Legal)
Provide Xactimate Estimates: Submitting a detailed line-item breakdown of the physical repair costs to the insurance carrier.
⛔ Impermissible (UPPA / Policy Violation)
Advise on Policy Rights: Telling the homeowner they have a legal right to a certain payout under their specific policy terms.
P1Mitigators™ stays on the green side — always.
Policy questions go to a licensed Public Adjuster or an Attorney.
Important — Disclaimers
What P1Mitigators™ Is NOT.
We are NOT Licensed Public Adjusters.
(We have them — separately and independent of P1Mitigators™.)
We know the Unlicensed Public Adjusting (UPPA) laws — and we take extreme measures to never cross those lines.
(A UPPA issue is never a concern. If it ever were, we have the insurance and the law firm ready to counter any accusation.)
We are NOT Lawyers or Attorneys.
(We have them — separately and independent of P1Mitigators™.)
We are paid legally by contractors only.
(From a flat fee to a % of claim. We can never be paid by law firms or Public Adjusters directly — for any reason or amount.)
We are NOT a Collection Agency.
(We follow Florida lien law and use 3rd-party legal entities when a lien is needed.)
We do NOT “negotiate” an insurance claim for any party.
(Only a licensed Public Adjuster or an Attorney can do that.)
We do NOT discuss insurance policy provisions with any insured.
(We act strictly as another contractor on the job.)
